Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 + Profit Sharing + Benefits

Water Resources Engineer / EIT (CAD exp. req.) Description

Our client in the environmental consulting industry is looking for a Water Resources Engineer / EIT to add to their team near Bel Air, MD. In this role, you will work under the mentorship of a licensed PE, and will support engineering design, CAD drafting, calculations, site visits, and regulatory documentation for stormwater, erosion control, stream, landfill, and public infrastructure projects. Our client is looking for someone with experience in environmental, water resources, or site/civil engineering projects, CAD experience, and interest in progressing toward PE licensure. This is a great opportunity to gain cross-training in engineering, environmental permitting, surveying, and construction inspection with a small, collaborative team. 

Water Resources Engineer / EIT (CAD exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Perform cut/fill, stage-storage, and stage-discharge calculations 
•    Support hydrologic, hydraulic, and open channel flow analyses 
•    Draft stormwater, erosion control, and site design plans 
•    Create and revise plan sets using AutoCAD and MicroStation 
•    Prepare design reports, sequencing plans, and permit packages 
•    Visit project sites to document conditions and collect field data 
•    Walk uneven terrain, streams, and wooded areas during site visits 
•    Review your own work and ask questions when guidance is needed 

Water Resources Engineer / EIT (CAD exp. req.) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering required 
•    Successful completion of FE/EIT exam or working towards completion in near future required
•    Experience with environmental, water resources, or site/civil projects required
•    Stormwater, drainage, erosion control, or water resources exposure required
•    CAD experience required 
•    Valid driver’s license required
