Human Resources Generalist [Retail Store Support]
Location: De Pere, WI – Hybrid schedule after training
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 Base Salary + 10% Annual Bonus + Benefits

Human Resources Generalist Description
Our client, a respected Wisconsin retailer, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR operations across 3–4 store locations. Reporting to the HR Director, this role provides broad exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, benefits administration, training, and compliance. This is a highly hands-on position that requires a humble, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. The ideal candidate enjoys being in the details, supporting employees and managers, and helping wherever needed. Whether you're a recent graduate with HR internship experience or an early-career HR professional, this is an excellent opportunity to build a strong HR foundation and grow your career with a stable, people-focused organization.
Note: This position offers hybrid remote work options post-training [4-8 weeks].
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities
• Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding
• Assist with new hire orientation and employee onboarding processes
• Help ensure payroll and timekeeping information is accurate and submitted on time
• Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures
• Assist with employee relations matters and workplace concerns
• Coordinate leave requests, accommodations, and employee documentation
• Support employee engagement, recognition, and training initiatives
• Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
• Analyze HR data and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Travel to local store locations to build relationships, support managers, and serve as an accessible HR resource
• Pitch in wherever needed to support the HR team and business operations
Human Resources Generalist Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources OR 2+ years of Human Resources experience required
• High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic HR systems required
• Willingness to travel locally and be present on-site as needed
