Location: Jacksonville, FL

Typical hours: M-F, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (4–6 hours of weekly OT typically available on a voluntary basis and paid at time-and-a-half; occasional mandatory OT may be required to support customer needs)

Service Technician (electrical troubleshooting exp. req.) Description 

We’re working closely with Facility Automation Solutions as they expand their Service Team and add a new Controls Service Technician to their team in Jacksonville. Majority of their clients are within the Greater Jacksonville area, allowing for a better work/life balance with limited extended travel. Aside from being home practically every night, you will benefit from a more inclusive, people-first company environment. Ideal candidates will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience servicing commercial low-voltage systems. Service Technician (electrical troubleshooting exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Service environmental-control and building systems (HVAC, lighting, access, etc.)
•    Check and verify a variety of sensors (temperature, amps, static pressure, relays, etc.)
•    Troubleshoot and repair system issues to ensure operational efficiency
•    Perform system diagnostics and calibrations to maintain peak performance
•    Review and interpret electrical schematic wiring diagrams 
•    Travel to client sites and provide remote diagnostics when possible 
•    Ensure equipment safety standards and maintain safe work environments
•    Act as a liaison between internal teams and external clients
•    Participate in on-call rotation (typically, once every fifth week) 
•    Pursue ongoing education and training 

Service Technician (electrical troubleshooting exp. req.) Qualifications  

•    Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting commercial low-voltage systems (e.g. building automation, electronic security, telecom, fire alarm systems, etc.) required  
•    Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including wiring relays required 
•    Driver’s license required 
•    In-office required when not traveling
