Outside Sales Representative (Automotive Service Equipment) Description
Our client in the automotive service equipment industry is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to add to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth by developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and promoting a wide range of automotive service equipment and solutions. You will work directly with dealerships, repair facilities, and commercial clients to identify needs, present solutions, and close sales opportunities.
To be considered, you must have prior outside B2B sales experience and strong relationship-building skills. To thrive in this role, you must be highly motivated and organized. You’ll have the flexibility to structure your own schedule and the autonomy to manage your territory with ongoing sales and quoting support from the home office. Outside Sales Representative (Automotive Service Equipment) Responsibilities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients
• Generate new business opportunities through in-person visits and outbound prospecting
• Identify customer pain points and recommend tailored equipment and service solutions
• Conduct product demonstrations and present detailed proposals and quotations
• Travel locally to customer sites to promote products and services
• Continuously work toward achieving and exceeding sales goals
• Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and industry trends
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer communication, and pipeline updates
• Stay informed on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer needs
Outside Sales Representative (Automotive Service Equipment) Qualifications
• 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience required
• Automotive industry experience or strong mechanical aptitude required
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory and manage a self-directed schedule required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
