Staff Accountant (Manufacturing & Inventory Exp. Req.) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to their team East of Green Bay, WI. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on month-end close, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger activity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with inventory and ERP systems, along with a strong understanding of general accounting principles. To be successful, you must be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in Excel. Staff Accountant (Manufacturing & Inventory Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

•    Execute month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
•    Investigate and resolve discrepancies across accounts and financial records
•    Maintain accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions within the general ledger
•    Support inventory accounting including reconciliations, variance analysis, and standard cost 
•    Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate transaction recording
•    Maintain fixed asset records including depreciation, additions, and disposals
•    Support year-end audit activities by preparing schedules and providing documentation
•    Maintain and update the chart of accounts to ensure proper classification of financial data
•    Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
•    Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances
•    Leverage Microsoft Excel and the company ERP system to manage and analyze financial data
•    Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
•    Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and documentation

Staff Accountant (Manufacturing & Inventory Exp. Req.) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree is required
•    2+ years of accounting experience including manufacturing and inventory is required
•    Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals are required
•    Strong analysis and Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables are required
•    Experience with ERP systems is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site is required
