Product Engineer Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Product Engineer to add to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of highly regulated products. This role supports the full product lifecycle from initial concept and prototyping through qualification, scale-up, and sustained production. You will work to ensure compliance with customer requirements, applicable standards, and internal quality objectives. Product Engineer Responsibilities
• Lead product development efforts
• Design products
• Provide technical support to the Sales Department
• Serve as Project Engineer for proposals and special projects
• Oversee technical scope, schedules, testing requirements, and compliance
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities
• Conduct testing and evaluations
• Advise on material selection, substitutions, and potential improvements
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Management
• Help develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes
• Provide technical support to Procurement
• Support compliance with applicable standards and certifications
• Maintain and support organizational quality standards
• Support laboratory operations
• Foster a cooperative, solutions-oriented environment across departments
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and customer focus
Product Engineer Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required
• 5+ years of ballistics design and manufacturing experience required
• Ballistics testing experience required
• CAD experience required
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% as required
