General Manager - Food Manufacturing (SQF Practitioner/SQF audit exp. req.) Description

Our client in food manufacturing is looking for a General Manager to add to their team in Bucks County, PA. In this new role, you will oversee daily plant operations across production, quality, purchasing, shipping and receiving, and maintenance while helping lead the site as ownership transitions their day-to-day responsibilities. Our client is looking for someone with food manufacturing leadership experience, strong food safety and regulatory knowledge, and the ability to lead the plant through audits, documentation, and cross-functional coordination. To be successful in this role, you must communicate clearly, comfortable writing technical documents, and provide steady oversight across departments. General Manager - Food Manufacturing (SQF Practitioner/SQF audit exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Lead daily plant operations across production, packaging and shipping 
•    Align production, quality, and supply chain priorities across the site
•    Monitor KPIs tied to yield, downtime, labor, and on-time delivery
•    Oversee and participate in food safety programs, audits, and regulatory compliance
•    Conduct risk, food fraud, and food defense assessments 
•    Lead quality efforts to maintain SQF and related certifications
•    Guide leaders across production, QA, maintenance, and purchasing
•    Support hiring, training, and workforce planning across departments
•    Manage inventory accuracy and reduce waste and spoilage
•    Oversee supplier coordination and purchasing support
•    Address customer issues tied to quality, service, or plant operations

General Manager - Food Manufacturing (SQF Practitioner/SQF audit exp. req.) Qualifications

•    Bachelor of science degree required
•    5+ years of operational leadership in food manufacturing experience required
•    SQF Practitioner or SQF audit experience required
•    Knowledge of PCQI, food defense, and food safety standards required
•    Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, data analysis), required
•    ERP system experience required
