Quality & Audit Manager Description

Our client in manufacturing and industrial supplies is looking for a Quality & Audit Manager to add to their team in Buford, GA. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the quality management system processes, ensuring all products and services meet customer requirements, applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and industry standards before they go to market; you will serve as the point of contact for the ISO 9001 audit, spending about 25% of your time ensuring that internal processes and product and service quality meets all requirements, needs, and industry standards for all five manufacturing facilities in the U.S.. Our client is looking for someone with ISO 9001 external auditing process experience or deep quality management experience in manufacturing, interested in leading both internal and external audit processes, and who thrives under the pressure that comes with it. Quality & Audit Manager Responsibilities

•    Ensure product quality and vendor monitoring for both domestic and foreign products
•    Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 requirements 
•    Serve as the Quality liaison; schedule and facilitate 3rd party audits for ISO 9001
•    Identify and mitigate potential process risks related to QMS processes and products and services 
•    Ensure customer, statutory and regulatory requirements are understood for satisfaction
•    Review product specifications to determine necessary inspection and testing for each product
•    Create product quality inspection and testing requirements and validation plans 
•    Determine product requirements for development related to quality, reliability, and functionality
•    Oversee supplier quality in Asia; monitor and evaluate quality results/trends
•    Provide feedback for suppliers based on performance for an effective and capable supplier base
•    Establish continuous improvement programs with vendors 
•    Audit internal QMS processes and request corrective actions/improvements if not in compliance
•    Ensure effective and timely resolutions of issues 

Quality & Audit Manager Qualifications

•    2+ years of ISO 9001 audit experience required
•    2+ years of experience with quality management in manufacturing required
•    Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint required
