Assembly Supervisor (1st shift, Heavy Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Description

Our client in the transformer manufacturing industry is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to join their team near Fayetteville, NC. This role will lead a team in a hands-on heavy manufacturing environment, overseeing the assembly of transformer components and ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and hands-on experience with tools and industrial equipment. Assembly Supervisor (1st shift, Heavy Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

•    Supervise approximately 16 assembly workers in a hands-on heavy manufacturing environment
•    Oversee assembly operations involving transformer component integration and final build
•    Assign daily work based on production schedules to meet output and delivery targets
•    Spend approximately 80% of your time on the production floor, supporting team execution
•    Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and quality requirements
•    Oversee the use of hydraulic crimpers, torque tools, clamps, gauges, and other hand tools
•    Coordinate and oversee the use of overhead cranes & forklifts 
•    Partner with Quality to identify defects, resolve issues, and maintain product standards
•    Monitor productivity, workflow, and efficiency while driving process improvements
•    Communicate shift updates, production status, and key issues with leadership 
•    Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
•    Motivate, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and engagement

Assembly Supervisor (1st shift, Heavy Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Qualifications

•    3+ years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing is required
•    Strong mechanical aptitude & familiarity with hand tools/industrial equipment is required
•    Experience working in a multicultural, diverse workforce environment is required
•    Willingness to obtain forklift and crane certification is required; company paid
•    Strong focus on process improvement and quality control is required
•    Ability to work occasional Saturdays (Bonus Pay) is required
