Quality & Inspection Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing Description
Our client in regulated precision aerospace manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Quality & Inspection Manager to join their team near Brampton, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced Quality Supervisor or Lead who is ready to step into broader ownership while staying closely involved with shop-floor inspection, customer quality issues, and AS9100 compliance. You will oversee a team of quality technicians and inspectors, manage non-conformances and corrective actions, support audits, ensure product conformity for machined aerospace components, and collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve manufacturing performance. This position blends leadership with technical credibility – you should be comfortable reviewing drawings, GD&T, tolerances, validating dimensional inspection results, and representing the company during customer or AS9100 audits. Quality & Inspection Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing Responsibilities
• Lead, coach and develop the Quality team
• Set inspection priorities and resolve technical quality issues
• Support AS9100 certification, customer and internal quality audits
• Manage NCRs, root-cause investigations and corrective actions
• Review drawings, GD&T, tolerances and dimensional inspection results
• Validate inspection findings and resolve discrepancies
• Communicate with customers on quality concerns and corrective actions
• Make product acceptance, rejection and conformity decisions
• Partner with Operations and Engineering on quality improvements
• Support the development and launch of new products and processes
• Maintain Quality processes while remaining active on the shop floor
Quality & Inspection Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing Qualifications
• 5+ years of quality experience in aerospace manufacturing required
• 3+ years of supervising or leading quality teams required
• Experience supporting AS9100 audits required
• Hands-on inspection experience with machined components required
• Customer-facing experience related to audits, escalations, or quality issues required
• Experience with NCRs, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions required
• Proficiency with precision inspection tools and equipment required
• Ability to interpret drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and specifications required
