Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Material Planner to join their team in Canonsburg, PA. In this role, you will manage material planning activities that ensure production has the inventory needed to meet manufacturing schedules while ensuring inventory accuracy. This position splits time between an office setting and the manufacturing/warehouse floor, requiring regular interaction with production, inventory, and warehouse personnel. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management OR hands-on experience in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations. Material Planner (Supply Chain Degree OR 2+ Yrs Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

•    Ensure the appropriate inventory levels to support production schedules and on-time delivery
•    Determine material allocation priorities based on production schedules and customer demand
•    Create purchase requisitions within the ERP system and communicate urgent material needs
•    Monitor material availability & notify internal teams of inventory shortages or schedule changes
•    Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP transactions and inventory adjustments
•    Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts according to company schedules
•    Investigate inventory discrepancies and reconcile inventory records
•    Expedite material shortages to minimize production delays
•    Coordinate material requirements with production, purchasing, engineering, & warehousing
•    Establish reorder levels for consumable materials and generate replenishment orders
•    Support cost-effective procurement by providing planning insights to the buying team
•    Organize and issue material and job kits to support manufacturing operations

Material Planner (Supply Chain Degree OR 2+ Yrs Exp. Req.) Qualifications

•    Supply chain degree OR 2+ years of inventory management/planning experience is required
•    Experience with cycle counts and inventory reconciliations is required 
•    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site in Canonsburg, PA is required
