Warehouse Manager (Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Description
Our client, a growing industrial manufacturer, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their team in Canonsburg, PA. In this role, you will oversee warehouse operations across two facilities supporting in-house manufacturing and customer shipments while leading a small team responsible for receiving, inventory, and shipping activities. The ideal candidate will have experience managing warehouse operations within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, including oversized material handling, inventory control, and shipping operations. To be successful, you must be a hands-on leader with strong operational, organizational, and problem-solving skills who enjoys driving process improvements. Warehouse Manager (Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
• Oversee daily warehouse operations across two facilities supporting heavy manufacturing
• Lead, coach, and develop 3-5 direct reports across warehouse and material handling functions
• Manage receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, staging, and shipping operations
• Plan and optimize warehouse layouts and space utilization across multiple buildings
• Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Manage the warehouse operating budget, including labor, equipment maintenance, & supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, and ERP transactions
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to improve inventory accuracy
• Partner with Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to ensure material availability
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices
• Oversee shipping and receiving documentation and coordinate inbound and outbound freight
• Track warehouse KPI metrics and implement operational improvements
Warehouse Manager (Heavy Industrial or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Qualifications
• 3+ years as a Warehouse Manager in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting is required
• Experience managing heavy or oversized material handling operations and forklifts is required
• Experience leading warehouse teams and driving operational improvements is required
• Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes is required
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety best practices
• Experience using ERP systems for inventory and warehouse management is required
