Manufacturing Application Developer Description

Our client in the custom manufacturing industry is looking for a Manufacturing Software Developer to add to their team near Milwaukee, WI. You will modernize shop-floor software and data flows, building practical tools that fit manufacturing realities like BOMs, routing, quantities, and traceability. Our client is looking for someone with strong SQL + C#/.NET development skills who can build applications, APIs, and data migrations tied to production systems. To be successful in the role, you must write clean, supportable code, think in systems, and solve problems without overcomplicating the solution. This is a great opportunity to rebuild aging manufacturing software and reduce day-to-day friction for the team on the floor.

Manufacturing Application Developer Responsibilities

•    Build WinForms and web apps that support production workflows
•    Develop SQL Server data models, stored procedures, and integrations
•    Create web APIs to connect manufacturing tools and business systems
•    Migrate data from legacy sources into new structures and services
•    Build reusable .NET libraries and internal tools for engineering users
•    Support production issues tied to software, data, and system behavior
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to map requirements to shop-floor reality

Manufacturing Application Developer Qualifications

•    2+ years building .NET applications in a manufacturing setting required
•    Proficiency with C#/.NET and SQL Server (including stored procedures) required
•    Experience building or consuming web APIs in production systems required
•    Ability to translate manufacturing needs (BOMs, units, traceability) into software required
