Technical Account Manager (Foundry, Industrial, or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Description

Our client, which specializes in engineering and technical solutions for the foundry industry, is looking for an Account Manager to add to their team. In this role, you will call on foundry customers to understand their business needs and offer a consultative solutions-based approach. The ideal candidate will have foundry or engineering experience (prior sales exp. not required) OR will be a seasoned sales professional who has leveraged engineering teams to support technical sales in an industry such as foundry, metal, chemical, industrial, or adjacent. To be successful, you must have strong business acumen, a technical mindset, and be a self-starter who is accountable for your success and quality of work produced. Technical Account Manager (Foundry, Industrial, or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

•    Combine technical and commercial acumen to expand market share
•    Strategically develop & support accounts in your assigned territory
•    Build new relationships through regular engagements & face-to-face meetings
•    Utilize a consultative approach to understanding customer needs, pain points, and service gaps
•    Consult with technical resources such as Engineering, R&D, & Product Managers
•    Create and execute a sales plan, including forecasting by account & pipeline potential
•    Map out your weekly itinerary for customer visits 
•    Meet with plant managers/engineering, tour facilities, and assess business needs
•    Coordinate technical meetings and product trials
•    Support new product launch initiatives for highly diversified end-customers
•    Learn and adapt chemical engineering concepts to align with customer needs
•    Coordinate with distribution partners in your assigned territory to increase sales

Technical Account Manager (Foundry, Industrial, or Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree is required
•    3+ years of foundry experience OR 5+ years B2B industrial sales is required
•    Experience partnering with engineering teams to support customer needs is required
•    Ability to travel up to 60% (on the road ~3 days/wk., overnight ~1-2 days/wk.) is required
