Food Safety & Compliance Manager (SQF, HACCP exp. req.) Description
Our client in food manufacturing is looking for a Food Safety & Compliance Manager to add to their team in Bucks County, PA. You will lead plant-wide food safety systems and translate programs into practical execution on the floor across production, packaging, sanitation, and maintenance. Our client is looking for someone with food safety and regulatory experience in food production/manufacturing who has served on a HACCP team in a SQF facility and partners closely with operations. Success in this role requires visibility, leadership, accountability, and the ability to work effectively with both management and front-line employees. This is a great opportunity to drive plant-wide ownership of food safety in a stable, tenured operation.
Food Safety & Compliance Manager (SQF, HACCP exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Lead food safety, HACCP, FSMA, and regulatory compliance in an SQF-certified facility
• Conduct daily pre-production inspections for cleanliness and sanitation
• Own and embed food safety programs across all plant departments and daily operations
• Maintain HACCP plans, corrective actions, and preventive controls
• Conduct risk, food fraud, and food defense assessments
• Manage internal audits and support SQF, FDA, and customer audits
• Ensure SOP enforcement through floor verification and observation
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and records for training, monitoring, and verification
• Train, coach, and reinforce accountability at all employee levels
• Coordinate cross-functionally to resolve risks impacting operations
• Apply a plant-wide, systems-based approach to problem-solving
Food Safety & Compliance Manager (SQF, HACCP exp. req.) Qualifications
• Bachelor of science degree required
• 5+ years of food safety & regulatory compliance experience in food manufacturing required
• Experience working as part of a HACCP team required
• Demonstrated knowledge of PCQI, FMSA, and SQF required
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization required
• Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, required
