Base Salary: $120,000-$150,000 + Monthly Incentives (Typically, 3% of Base Salary; Goes up to 10%)

Mechanical Engineer (heavy industrial/automation & mechanical engineering exp.) Description 

Our client, a metals manufacturing company, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. In this role, you’ll focus on improving manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and overall plant efficiency. You’ll support the design, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment such as hydraulics, conveyors, cooling towers, air compressors, etc. This is a hands-on role for someone who has experience reducing downtime, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting safe, reliable production within a heavy industrial environment. The facility is in the middle of adding new manufacturing processes, so there’s a real opportunity to make an impact as the plant expands their operations. The company continues to invest in its US operations and is backed by an established international parent company. Mechanical Engineer (heavy industrial/automation & mechanical engineering exp.) Responsibilities  

•    Lead capital projects, including scope, budget, execution, and documentation  
•    Assist with new process introductions, line upgrades, and capacity expansions
•    Design, commission, and maintain equipment (hydraulics, compressors, conveyors, etc.) 
•    Create technical drawings and make 3D prototypes
•    Develop, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes 
•    Perform root-cause analysis of mechanical downtime using diagnostic tools
•    Travel up to 10% (domestic) to evaluate new equipment needs   
•    Assist with after-hours technical support as needed 
•    Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement

Mechanical Engineer (heavy industrial/automation & mechanical engineering exp.) Qualifications

•    5+ years of mechanical engineering experience required 
•    2+ years of heavy industrial experience (conveyors, hydraulics, material handling, etc.) required 
•    CAD experience required 
•    Relocation required to Northeastern TX; 100% in-office
