Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 + Benefits

Production Manager Description 

Our client is looking for a Production Manager to add to their team in Farmingdale, NJ. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will oversee day-to-day production, receiving, blending, bagging, and warehouse operations at the company’s primary facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for production performance, inventory accuracy, quality, safety, and workforce management. You will lead an Assistant Production Manager, 3-line leads, and hourly production employees, while also supporting satellite warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is a floor-oriented leader who enjoys being directly involved in the operation, developing their team, solving problems, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. Production Manager Responsibilities

•    Lead daily production, blending, packaging, receiving, and warehouse operations
•    Direct, coach, and develop Assistant Production Manager and line leads
•    Build and manage production schedules based on demand, inventory, and seasonal needs
•    Oversee receiving, lot verification, sampling, traceability, storage, and FIFO rotation
•    Manage packaging operations, including bagging, baling, stacking, palletizing, and load quality
•    Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counts, replenishment, staging, and shipping
•    Monitor production performance, uptime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, and other KPIs
•    Enforce quality standards, corrective actions, and production hold procedures
•    Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment issues and improve uptime
•    Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, quality, and environmental requirements
•    Manage seasonal staffing, training, scheduling, and employee performance
•    Support and evaluate satellite warehouse operations and share best practices
•    Serve as the operational liaison with key suppliers 
•    Drive continuous improvement across operations

Production Manager Qualifications 

•    Experience in production environments involving blending, mixing, and packaged products required
•    5+ years of leadership experience in production, packaging, or warehouse operations required
•    Experience managing leads, and hourly employees required
•    Demonstrated willingness and ability to lead from the floor required
•    Hands-on experience with packaging line operations and equipment required 
•    Fluency in English and Spanish required
