Flooring Outside Sales (Residential Builders Sales Exp. Req.) Description
Our client in the flooring industry is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join their team in the Northern Atlanta Metro Area. In this role, you will manage and expand a local territory, developing strong relationships with residential builders, contractors, designers, and other partners while driving new business growth. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience selling to residential builders (any industry), a hunter mentality, and exceptional communication skills. To succeed, you must be self-motivated, customer-focused, and thrive in a relationship-driven environment. Flooring Outside Sales (Residential Builders Sales Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
• Build and maintain trade relationships with builders, contractors, and designers
• Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities
• Meet with customers to assess project needs and recommend flooring solutions
• Present flooring samples and explain product options, features, and pricing
• Take accurate measurements and prepare detailed quotes and proposals
• Prepare bids and respond to RFPs for commercial projects
• Track leads, sales activity, and follow-ups using RFMS software
• Participate in weekly sales meetings and ongoing training
• Attend NARI and other networking events to generate leads
• Meet or exceed personal and company sales targets
Flooring Outside Sales (Residential Builders Sales Exp. Req.) Qualifications
• Significant experience selling to residential builders is required
• Proven ability to develop and close new business required
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are required
• Strong desire to learn hardwood, carpet, laminate, LVP, and rubber flooring is required
• Ability to answer customer phone calls, text messages, & emails on Saturdays is required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required
