Location: Austin, TX (SW Austin) 
Base Salary: $90,000-$105,000 + Straight Pay + Annual Bonus Potential 
On-Target Earnings (base + incentives): $100,000-$120,000

Typical Hours: M-F, 8 AM – 5 PM (some flexibility)

[HYBRID] Controls Engineer (controls engineering/PLC programming exp. req.) Description 

Our client, a project-based automation company, is seeking a passionate, team-oriented Controls Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. In this role, you’ll take ownership of programming, debugging, commissioning, and electrical hardware design across a range of automation technologies including PLCs, robotics, vision controllers, and VFDs. Because their Texas office operates with a smaller team, you’ll enjoy more exposure to different projects and systems, which is one of the reasons their team tends to stay for the long haul. [HYBRID] Controls Engineer (controls engineering/PLC programming exp. req.) Responsibilities  

•    Program controls software 
•    Design electrical hardware 
•    Setup, configure, and troubleshoot systems 
•    Review schematics with customers and provide guidance 
•    Communicate cross-functionally to ensure project deliverables 
•    Write and edit software code for machines and systems 
•    Document, test, and provide overall maintenance support 
•    Provide weekly updates to leadership team 
•    Travel to clients to provide installation, testing, and support  
•    Complete continued education for automation equipment

[HYBRID] Controls Engineer (controls engineering/PLC programming exp. req.) Qualifications  

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering required 
•    2 years of PLC programming experience required 
•    Ability to travel up to 30% (majority local) required
