Procurement Specialist (manufacturing purchasing/buying/procurement exp. req.) Description

Our client, a well-established industrial manufacturing company located just a few minutes outside of Racine, WI, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Operations, you’ll work in conjunction with their current purchasing specialist to negotiate and procure all outsourced parts and materials. Typically, you will be analyzing and executing anywhere from 20-30 purchase orders each day. Since they are in a heavier industrial environment, you will be working with a higher number of suppliers and parts (40k SKUs; <10k actively used) but their production operates on more extended timelines so you will see less volume overall. Aside from a background in manufacturing (open to industry type), our client is looking for a candidate who would enjoy working with a smaller team where your impact and contributions will be visible and appreciated without the bureaucracy often found in larger organizations. Our client truly believes that attitude is everything. If you pride yourself on being upbeat, collaborative, and team-oriented, you’ll appreciate joining a company that still holds true to its small-company roots but has brought new energy and ideas to employee engagement with a newer President who joined a few years back. You’ll never feel like a small cog in the machine, just a valued part of a relaxed, fun, and engaging team that values culture and great work/life balance.
