Account Manager – IT Services Description

Our client, a growing managed IT services provider headquartered in New York, is seeking an Account Manager to join their fully remote U.S. team. In this role, you will own relationships with existing clients, manage escalations, uncover expansion opportunities, and ensure each client’s IT roadmap supports their business goals. Our client is looking for someone with account management, client retention, portfolio growth, and the ability to discuss technical concepts with clients, ask the right questions, and pull in technical resources when needed. To be successful in this role, you must be organized, emotionally aware, and comfortable having high-level client conversations. This is a great opportunity to gain support for relevant training and technical certifications, and grow into senior account, team leadership, or sales leadership roles as the company scales.

Account Manager – IT Services Responsibilities

•    Own relationships with an assigned portfolio of active client accounts
•    Serve as the main contact for client needs, concerns, and escalations
•    Lead Technology Business Reviews and discuss client IT roadmaps
•    Identify projects, upgrades, licensing needs, and growth opportunities
•    Present IT recommendations tied to client goals and budgets
•    Partner with support, sales, finance, and technical teams
•    Track account health, sales activity, and opportunities in CRM
•    Help resolve billing questions and invoice-related client concerns
•    Monitor retention risks and address issues before they escalate
•    Keep clients informed on security, device, and infrastructure needs

Account Manager – IT Services Qualifications

•    3+ years of account management or customer success experience required
•    Experience retaining and growing a client portfolio required
•    Experience managing long-term B2B client relationships required
•    IT Services, SaaS tools, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure solutions knowledge required
•    Executive-level communication and negotiation skills required
•    Willingness to travel approximately 20% for client meetings required
