Electrical Designer (PBC/ESB Exp. Req.) Description
Our client in the industrial energy sector is seeking an Electrical Designer near Houston, TX. You'll own electrical design for Power Building Centers (PBC) / Electrical Service Buildings (ESB) projects serving industrial and oil & gas clients. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with PBC/ESB design and strong AutoCAD skills. Electrical Designer (PBC/ESB Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
• Design Power Building Centers (PBC) / (ESB) for industrial or oil and gas customers
• Create layouts, equipment designs, and interface drawings
• Develop single-line, wiring, and panel schedules
• Produce cable schedules, bills of materials (BOMs), and general arrangement (GA) drawings
• Specify VFDs, DC/battery systems, lighting, and small power components
• Perform basic sizing of raceways and trays under engineer guidance
• Apply client specs and electrical codes with support from project engineers
• Review vendor documentation and coordinate across disciplines
• Support electricians with accurate and clear construction documents
• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify project scope and specifications
• Ensure design deliverables meet project timelines
Electrical Designer (PBC/ESB Exp. Req.) Qualifications
• 2+ years of industrial or commercial electrical design experience is required
• Experience designing Power Building Center (PBC) / Electrical Service Building (ESB) is required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is required
• Ability to work on-site Monday- Thursday is required (Fridays: work from home option available)
