Master Production Scheduler - HYBRID Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Master Production Scheduler to add to their team in Plymouth, MN. In this role, you will lead and optimize the planning process by leveraging the company’s ERP system to drive continuous improvement, reduce manual workflows, and enhance data accuracy across operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong ERP-based planning experience within a manufacturing environment and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional setting. To be successful, you must be tech-savvy, analytical, and possess a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence positive change. After training, this position will transition to a hybrid setup, allowing for 2 days per week to be worked from home.
Master Production Scheduler - HYBRID Responsibilities
• Create and maintain the Master Production Schedule within the ERP system
• Leverage ERP functionality to streamline planning workflows and reduce manual processes
• Analyze forecasts, customer orders, intercompany demand, inventory targets, and capacity data
• Identify gaps in current planning processes and implement system-driven improvements
• Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track KPIs and planning performance
• Ensure data integrity within ERP, including lead times, lot sizes, and safety stock
• Participate and play a lead role in S&OP meetings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, engineering, and finance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy & system utilization
• Communicate schedule changes and proactively address risks impacting production timelines
• Assess material constraints, backlogs, and design changes to minimize disruption
• Resolve daily planning issues and recommend long-term corrective actions
Master Production Scheduler - HYBRID Qualifications
• 3+ years of production scheduling experience required
• Experience planning in a large ERP-driven manufacturing company is required
• Continuous improvement experience related to planning processes is required
• Strong Excel and analytical skills are required
