Salary: $95,000 - $120,000+ DOE + Bonus + Full Benefits

Mechanical Design Engineer (Warehouse Automation Solutions) Description

Our client, a leader in warehouse automation, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their SW Chicago team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver cutting-edge conveyor and automation solutions that drive high-speed, high-efficiency warehouses. The ideal candidate is scrappy, hands-on, and comes from a WMS or warehouse automation environment, with a deep understanding of high-throughput operations and a passion for creating solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. Note: This position requires onsite attendance during the first 30 days of training before transitioning to a permanent hybrid/remote model.
 
Mechanical Design Engineer (Warehouse Automation Solutions) Responsibilities

•    Create innovative mechanical solutions that optimize warehouse operations
•    Develop detailed drawings and documentation to bring designs from concept to reality
•    Lead discovery sessions and present solutions that drive business results
•    Oversee vendors, RFPs, and equipment installation to ensure successful execution
•    Collaborate with project teams during commissioning to deliver seamless system integration
•     Provide technical support for sales and service teams
•    Champion quality and continuous improvement across all projects
 
Mechanical Design Engineer (Warehouse Automation Solutions) Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree required
•    3+ years of mechanical design experience required 
•    Experience designing mechanical conveyor solutions required 
•    Proficiency in AutoCAD required
•    Must be willing to work onsite three days per week
