Manufacturing Quality Manager Description 

Our client, an industrial manufacturing company, is looking for a Quality Manager to join their team in Fort Wayne, IN. You will oversee a team of eight and spend roughly half of your time on the production floor, making this a hands-on role where you help drive initiatives forward. If you prefer a purely strategic role with minimal day-to-day support, this position may not be ideal. For those with experience leading quality initiatives in industrial manufacturing, who enjoy balancing tactical execution with more long-term strategic influence, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact. You will serve as a key partner to the executive leadership team, shaping processes that support the company’s continued growth.

Manufacturing Quality Manager Responsibilities

•    Lead quality management initiatives including ISO compliance
•    Develop and manage the quality team (8)
•    Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor daily
•    Provide training across production teams 
•    Evaluate current processes and advise on process improvements  
•    Track and report quality metrics
•    Identify quality issues and oversee their resolution 
•    Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives 
•    Monitor nonconforming material and assess cost implications 
•    Support the execution of new manufacturing processes 
•    Partner cross-functionally to align quality objectives with production performance

Manufacturing Quality Manager Qualifications  

•    Experience leading quality initiatives within industrial manufacturing required 
•    Proven hands-on management experience with daily presence on the production floor required 
•    Demonstrated people leadership experience required
•    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings required
•    Able to work onsite daily in Fort Wayne
