Operations Manager (ISO 9001 Certified Manufacturing/Assembly Exp Req) Description

Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to lead their gearbox assembly center in North Houston. This role oversees daily operations within a 37,000 sq. ft. facility supporting six assembly lines and light machining, ensuring production targets, material flow, and operational performance are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing an ISO 9001 certified facility, leading production teams, and driving efficiency within multi-stage assembly environments. Operations Manager (ISO 9001 Certified Manufacturing/Assembly Exp Req) Responsibilities

•    Oversee daily operations of a 37,000 sq. ft. gearbox assembly facility
•    Maintain and reinforce ISO 9001 compliant manufacturing standards
•    Plan and schedule production to ensure assembly lines are staged and prepared daily
•    Lead daily production meetings to review targets, output, and priorities
•    Ensure assembly lines operate efficiently and resolve workflow disruptions in real time
•    Address parts readiness, capacity planning, space utilization, and equipment challenges
•    Oversee incoming inventory, internal transfers, line replenishment, packing, and shipping
•    Coordinate supply chain activities with international parent company to maintain material flow
•    Monitor and report on output, downtime, variances, scrap, and key performance metrics
•    Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of approximately 35 employees
•    Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
•    Support integration of automation into assembly operations
•    Provide operational leadership during extended production hours when required

Operations Manager (ISO 9001 Certified Manufacturing/Assembly Exp Req) Qualifications

•    3+ years of experience managing an ISO 9001 certified facility is required
•    Proven team management experience in a manufacturing environment is required
•    Experience with multi-stage product assembly operations is required
•    Ability to support operations until 6PM or 7PM when overtime is needed, is required
•    Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments is required
