Accounting Manager (5 Years Accounting Experience Req.; $130-$150k) Description

Our client in the Management Services industry is looking for an Accounting Manager to add to their team in Novato, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for handling legal matters related to tax, as well as managing a team of up to four executive level direct reports initially, with the exciting opportunity to be promoted to lead the company once established. To be considered for this role, a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of accounting experience is required. Property management or real estate experience is preferred, and any candidates that currently hold a Loss or CPA certificate, real estate broker’s license, or (CMP) Certified Property Manager certification would be a bonus. Accounting Manager (5 Years Accounting Experience Req.; $130-$150k) Responsibilities

• Advise on transactional and investment planning for different business decisions
• Create tax plans and counsel on preparations involved in tax matters
• Lead evaluation, risk assessment, and counseling on various tax problems
• Perform tax calculations and other tax related studies
• Counsel on consequences of tax laws that affect business
• Advise on the legal, business, and tax implications of different business decisions
• Identify ways that tax burdens can be reduced
• Review and maintain tax records, leases, and financial statements
• Manage real estate, real estate fund formation, and real estate investment trusts
• Review property management systems and discuss needs with property managers
• Direct accounting functions and monthly reconciliations
• Counsel clients to maintain awareness of potential future tax problems
