Business Development Manager – Automotive Market (nylon sales exp. req.) Description
Our client, a materials engineering industry leader, is looking for a Business Development Manager to oversee their automotive portfolio within the Detroit area. You’ll be responsible for driving volume growth of engineered plastics within their US automotive sector. To be chosen for this role, you must have a proven track record working across R&D and Materials Engineering Teams during product development and material selection. Someone who has spent most of their career in the automotive space and understands how to navigate those waters. This is a well-established market you’re walking into. Their current team member has cultivated rich relationships over the years with key OEM contacts, so you’ll be able to hit the ground running. In this role, you’ll have the best of both worlds – the security of a multi-billion-dollar global parent company with the tight-knit culture and flexibility of a smaller US Team. Less organizational layers for you to cut through. Their President shared, “We like to help people build careers.” Whether you’re looking to escape the large corporate bureaucratic environments or want to transition into a company that champions a culture of autonomy and flexibility, this is your chance to make a great living with a company that will treat you as a person and not just a number.
