Estimator/Project Manager – Commercial Drywall/Metal Framing Description

Our client, in commercial drywall construction, is looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to add to their team in the Sarasota, FL area, and help expand their business by establishing a presence in the area. Initially, you will be responsible for managing commercial construction projects from estimation to completion, while developing existing and new relationships with local general contractors to grow the business. Once an office is established, depending on the candidates’ experience, there is the potential to run the branch, and continue to grow the team. Our client is looking for a detail-oriented individual with at least three (3) years of commercial drywall estimating and/or project management experience. Ideal candidates will be able to build and nurture strong relationships with vendors, customers, and team members. To be successful in the role, you must have strong multi-tasking and time management skills. Estimator/Project Manager – Commercial Drywall/Metal Framing Responsibilities

•    Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources
•    Prepare detailed estimates for all levels of project design
•    Maintain up-to-date estimating costs database, including preconstruction and design schedules
•    Communicate costs, materials, and scheduling with internal and external project teams
•    Monitor construction progress and hold status meetings with sub-contractors
•    Plan budgets and cost estimates
•    Provide internal reports and projections; complete project documents accurately and on time
•    Order and manage materials/supplies
•    Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards
•    Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
•    Help establish a new local office location
•    In time, grow the local team and potentially manage the new branch location

Estimator/Project Manager – Commercial Drywall/Metal Framing Qualifications

•    3+ years of commercial drywall estimating and/or project management experience required
•    Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook and Excel) required
•    Strong multi-tasking and time management skills required
•    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
