Semiconductor Packaging Lead (Packaging assembly exp req) Description

Our client in the semiconductor manufacturing industry is seeking a Semiconductor Packaging Lead to join their team in Richardson, TX. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and perform critical tasks involved in packaging semiconductor components, including assembly, inspection, and testing. Your goal will be to prioritize production schedules to align with the sales pipeline and collaborate with the FAB department to ensure materials are available. To be successful, you must have hands-on experience in semiconductor packaging processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a cleanroom environment. Ideal candidates will be well versed in auto-pick and place machines and assembly/packaging processes such as dicing, cleaving, die-attach and wire bonding, seam sealing, and fiber optic coupling.  This role offers a unique opportunity to join a well-established and innovative Semiconductor manufacturer, where you will have the freedom and flexibility to significantly impact the company’s growth and your personal career growth.

Semiconductor Packaging Lead (Packaging assembly exp req) Responsibilities

•    Oversee semiconductor packaging operations to meet production goals
•    Assemble semiconductor packages using various tools and equipment
•    Operate and maintain packaging and testing equipment
•    Conduct inspections and tests to ensure quality and reliability
•    Supervise and train packaging operators
•    Coordinate with production and quality control teams
•    Collaborate with engineers to improve packaging processes
•    Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues
•    Prepare and present reports on packaging performance
•    Collaborate with FAB partner for raw material procurement
•    Prioritize production schedules based on the sales pipeline

Semiconductor Packaging Lead (Packaging assembly exp req) Qualifications

•    2+ years of Semiconductor packaging assembly experience required
•    2+ years of Semiconductor assembly/manufacturing experience required
•    Knowledge of packaging materials like epoxies, solders, and packages required
•    Knowledge of packaging processes and machines required
•    Wire bonding and Laser-Testing experience required
•    Knowledge of material properties of packaging materials (thermal, viscosity, outgassing) required
•    Auto-pick and place machine experience required
