Accounting Manager (Simple Green) Description

Simple Green, a leading brand in the consumer goods (CPG) industry, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team in Huntington Beach, California. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of 6, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while playing a role in strategic planning, financial analysis, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader and self-starter with a solid background in accounting. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls, along with a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and unwavering integrity. Accounting Manager (Simple Green) Responsibilities

•    Oversee accurate and timely financial statement preparation in line with GAAP
•    Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
•    Lead the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
•    Oversee AR, AP, order processing, and material management operations related to accounting
•    Mentor and manage 6 team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement
•    Provide variance analysis and collaborate with departments to align financial goals
•    Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard assets
•    Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations
•    Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and debt facilities
•    Coordinate internal and external audits
•    Streamline financial processes and workflows to improve productivity and reduce costs
•    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies

Accounting Manager (Simple Green) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree is required
•    5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team management, is required
•    Strong knowledge of closing processes, GAAP, reporting, & internal controls is required
•    ERP experience is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site is required
•    Manufacturing or CPG experience is preferred
