Accounting Manager (EAC & CAS exp req) Description

Our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to lead their team in Merritt Island, FL. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring the timely completion of tasks within established deadlines. In addition, you will ensure alignment with accounting policies, including analyses of non-recurring transactions, developing accounting policies, and implementing new accounting standards for the site. To succeed in this role, you must be able to disaggregate, analyze, and reconcile consolidated financial data in an accurate and timely manner. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in financial reporting and experience with both Government Contracts, EAC, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) reporting standards. Accounting Manager (EAC & CAS exp req) Responsibilities

•    Manage the daily operations of the accounting department
•    Monitor accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
•    Establish fiscal files and records to document transactions
•    Enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
•    Coordinate with team in preparation of monthly closing reporting and supporting schedules
•    Manage and Complete annual audits
•    Prepare and review the consolidated financial statements and related footnotes
•    Implement new revenue recognition 
•    Review and manage the support for completion of required government filings as required
•    Establish and manage financial accounting and reporting policies
•    Manage the maintenance and update of accounting internal control policies and procedures

Accounting Manager (EAC & CAS exp req) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree required
•    7+ years of Progressive Accounting experience required
•    2+ years of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) experience required
•    2+ years of estimate at completion (EAC) experience required
•    2+ years of Long-term contract revenue recognition experience required
•    Accounting Management (at least 2 direct reports) experience required
•    ERP experience required
