Construction Superintendent (Concrete Highway/Roads/Bridges) Description

Our client, in heavy highway construction, is looking for a Construction Superintendent to add to their team headquartered near Dallas, TX. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day on-site construction effort of roadway, highway, and heavy construction projects across multiple states with most of the work occurring in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida, ensuring all work is constructed according to design, budget, schedule, and contractual requirements. Our client is looking for someone with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience in a similar role in concrete road, heavy highway, or bridge deck rehab/repair/rebuild construction projects, with hands-on experience in planning logistics and communicating with owners, inspectors, and office management. Construction Superintendent (Concrete Highway/Roads/Bridges) Responsibilities

•    Oversee on-site operations, schedule material deliveries, and direct PPC crew
•    Provide technical assistance, drawing interpretation, quality control, and act as on-site liaison
•    Supervise and coordinate with Foreman to ensure resource availability for project completion
•    Report project status to leadership and upcoming activities
•    Ensure crew and subcontractor productivity, efficient resource use, and contract compliance
•    Resolve construction issues and delays as needed
•    Follow and enforce safety policies and work practices; prepare and submit accident/injury reports
•    Review contracts and project documents to ensure compliance with standards and to satisfaction
•    Responsible for crew performance, safety audits, and policy compliance; take corrective action
•    Coordinate equipment needs, ensuring operators are qualified, and address maintenance issues
•    Prepare and maintain labor and equipment time sheets and detailed work records
•    Communicate with Owner's representatives and inspectors on all project related matters
•    Assist with monthly estimates for performed work on assigned projects

Construction Superintendent (Concrete Highway/Roads/Bridges) Qualifications

•    3+ years of supervisory experience in construction required
•    Experience with concrete road, hwy, or bridge deck rehab/repair/rebuild construction required
•    Knowledge of construction equipment, materials, and methods required
•    Valid driver’s license required
•    Willingness/ability to travel regularly to jobsites required
