Senior Director of Facilities - Healthcare Industry (Hospital exp req) Description

Our client, a leading healthcare system in Ventura, CA, is seeking a Senior Director of Facilities to oversee the operation of their Support Services Departments and maintain the appearance and functionality of all campuses/locations. Though the primary office is in Ventura, this role requires local travel (30-45 minutes) to various sites as needed. In this role, you’ll be managing the exterior of buildings, parking lots, common areas, and patient room equipment, as well as training your staff and conducting inspections. You'll lead a team of approximately 15 engineers, including the Chief Engineer, and be responsible for hiring, training, and fostering team morale. The ideal candidate will have healthcare facilities management experience, supervisory skills, and a passion for leadership and team development. Senior Director of Facilities - Healthcare Industry (Hospital exp req) Responsibilities

•    Manage internal and external vendors and staff responsible for grounds, maintenance, facilities, and safety operations
•    Direct planning, design, development, and renovation of physical facilities across all locations
•    Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets
•    Ensure projects meet cost, timing, and contractual requirements
•    Implement quality control programs
•    Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
•    Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
•    Serve on the Emergency Response Team and ensure compliance with hazardous materials, fire drills, and utility failure protocols
•    Establish long-term facilities goals, policies, and procedures
•    Lead energy conservation initiatives to improve sustainability and efficiency
•    Recruit, train, and evaluate facility supervisors and staff to maintain a high-performing team
•    Ensure Engineers know how to properly use the IT service management platform
•    Stay up to date with industry best practices and new technologies

Senior Director of Facilities - Healthcare Industry (Hospital exp req) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, facilities management or similar field required 
•    8+ years of senior facilities maintenance management experience in the healthcare industry required 
•    2+ years of hospital facilities management experience required
•    Supervisory/Management experience required 
•    Proven experience ensuring compliance with building and life safety codes required 
•    Previous experience with IT service management (ITSM) platforms required
