Finance & Accounting Manager (Manufacturing exp. req.) Description

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join their team in picturesque Vermont. You will lead the Finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. You will prepare and analyze financial reports, manage audits and tax compliance, and partner with other departments offering insights that support strategic decisions such as budgeting, forecasting, and drive performance improvement. You’ll also distill complex financial information into clear insights for stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys mentoring a team and driving process improvements across departments.

Finance & Accounting Manager (Manufacturing exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and monthly closing
•    Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
•    Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance
•    Lead annual audits and ensure timely tax filings
•    Partner with Manufacturing, Sales, and IT to guide financial performance
•    Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
•    Manage lender relations and board-level financial communications
•    Lead system upgrades and ERP-related financial initiatives
•    Develop business metrics and profitability analysis tools
•    Mentor and manage Finance team members

Finance & Accounting Manager (Manufacturing exp. req.) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
•    8+ years of accounting and/or finance experience required
•    4+ years of team leadership in manufacturing industry experience required
•    Financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance experience required
•    Budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking experience required
•    ERP and financial software experience required
