Director of Manufacturing Technology (manufacturing/engineering exp req.) Description 

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is looking for their next company leader to join their Team just outside of Katy, Texas. They have six production facilities, and you will play a key role in ensuring the necessary resources are in place to support manufacturing and production goals company wide. You will oversee a team of manufacturing engineers with a focus on strategic planning and implementation, technology evaluation, project management, and process optimization. Ultimately, they are looking for an engaged leader who values growing the next generation of engineers while identifying ways to leverage innovation. Someone who is accustomed to maximizing workflow efficiency by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve production speed and quality. Although this is a high-speed manufacturing environment, this is a relatively lower pressure atmosphere. Their average tenure is over 10 years so you’re walking into a well-rounded, seasoned workforce. No pain points or fires to fix on day one. This is not an opportunity that comes often. Director of Manufacturing Technology (manufacturing/engineering exp req.) Responsibilities   

•    Lead corporate engineering initiatives to optimize manufacturing across multiple plants (4) 
•    Manage and mentor engineering team (8) including project planning 
•    Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions
•    Ensure engineering activities adhere to regulatory standards and safety protocols 
•    Identify production needs including new equipment installation, machine utilization, etc. 
•    Research advanced equipment and machinery to continue a culture of innovation 
•    Analyze manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost reduction 
•    Nurture a culture of continuous improvement and professional development 
•    Travel across sites and attend industry events to strengthen marketplace position 

Director of Manufacturing Technology (manufacturing/engineering exp req.) Qualifications 

•    High-volume, injection molding or blow molding manufacturing experience required  
•    Strong manufacturing engineering background required 
•    Experience implementing new equipment to optimize manufacturing required 
•    People management experience required
