Maintenance Supervisor Description

Our client, a leader in the food distribution industry, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Lancaster, California. This company is known for its high-quality products and a positive, autonomous work environment that fosters collaboration and professional growth. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of four technicians, oversee the maintenance and repair of high-speed packaging equipment, and manage preventative maintenance programs. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth facility operations, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating closely with the Quality team to support production needs. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance of the production facility
• Lead and support maintenance technicians with a hands-on approach
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the Quality team to meet production needs
• Issue purchase orders and manage department timesheets
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications

• Food or food packaging manufacturing maintenance experience required
• Supervisory or team lead experience required
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
• Must be a hands-on and engaging leader
