Accounting Manager (Inventory Exp. Req.) – HYBRID Description

Our client in the industrial equipment industry is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join their team in Alsip, IL. This hybrid position allows the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week after initial training. Reporting to the Controller, you will oversee daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and develop staff (team size: 4). The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with a solid accounting background, including inventory, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Accounting Manager (Inventory Exp. Req.) – HYBRID Responsibilities

•    Manage day-to-day accounting operations and provide hands-on support as needed
•    Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger
•    Train, supervise, and support accounting staff, promoting collaboration and growth
•    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
•    Manage intercompany billing, cash flow, and inventory accounting
•    Coordinate and support external audits
•    Provide insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency
•    Finalize month-end close and prepare financial reports 
•    Collaborate with operations and sales teams to align financial goals with objectives
•    Maintain attention to detail, communication, adaptability, and confidentiality
•    Document departmental workflows and work instructions
•    Implement and refine accounting systems, controls, and processes to enhance efficiency

Accounting Manager (Inventory Exp. Req.) – HYBRID Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree is required
•    5+ years of progressive accounting experience is required
•    2+ years of supervisory experience is required
•    Accounting experience with inventory is required
•    General ledger & journal entry experience is required
•    Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables) & ERP systems is required
