Program Manager Description
Our client is seeking a community-minded Program Manager in Marquette, MI. This individual will lead a small local team and coordinate with corporate resources to deliver high-impact services to utility customers, many of whom live in rural or income-qualified communities. The ideal candidate is an experienced people leader with strong communication, project management, and client engagement skills. In this role, you’ll lead a residential energy program, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing the budget, and building strong relationships with utility partners—often serving as the program’s key representative within a close-knit community. About 70% of your time will be spent directly managing and supporting two local salespeople, with the remaining time focused on responsibilities such as budget oversight, performance tracking, and client communication. Day-to-day responsibilities are centered around team leadership, performance tracking, and client interaction, with support from a broader team in Detroit. Prior experience in sales and lead generation marketing is a plus. This is a highly visible role with a chance to make a real difference in people’s lives through direct service and meaningful program delivery. You’ll work in a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth and advancement, backed by an organization known for promoting from within. If you’re motivated by purpose-driven work and have a talent for leadership and operational excellence, this could be the perfect fit.
