Controls Service Technician 
Location: Jacksonville, FL   
Salary: $30-$45/hr. + Paid OT (time and a half)

Controls Service Technician (BAS, controls, HVAC, OR electrical exp. req.) Description 

Our client, a well-established building controls and energy management company, is looking to expand their Service Team by adding a new Technician in Jacksonville, FL. Majority of their clients are within the Greater Jacksonville area allowing for a better work/life balance with limited extended travel. Someone who has troubleshooted electrical or mechanical systems with experience using multimeters. Important Note: Their customers are fairly concentrated in the Jacksonville area. The most extensive travel will be to Savannah and Thomasville, GA or to the Orlando and Tallahassee area. 

Controls Service Technician (controls, HVAC, OR electrical exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Service environmental-control and building systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.) 
•    Check and verify a variety of sensors (temperature, amps, static pressure, etc.)
•    Troubleshoot and repair system issues to ensure operational efficiency
•    Perform system diagnostics and calibrations to maintain peak performance
•    Review and interpret electrical schematic wiring diagrams 
•    Travel to client sites (75%) and provide remote diagnostics when possible 
•    Ensure equipment safety standards and maintain safe work environments
•    Act as a liaison between internal teams and external clients
•    Participate in on-call rotation (typically, once every fifth week) 
•    Pursue ongoing education and training to expand BAS skills

•    Strong electrical aptitude with experience using multimeters required 
•    Field travel (typically local) required
