Our client, in the fencing outdoor security solutions industry, is looking for a Remote Market Development Manager to add to their team. You will be responsible for prospecting for new business opportunities, driving business and market share growth by finding new verticals to sell to, developing a network of contacts to attract new customers, maintaining relationships, and improving sales within the defined territory. Your goal will be to build a pipeline of sales opportunities and verticals in your area to contribute to sustainable growth. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong hunter mentality and proven success in identifying new product verticals and business development. [REMOTE] Market Development Manager (Fencing or perimeter security) Responsibilities
• Prospect for new business within your territory
• Identify new verticals to sell to and build them from scratch
• Promote product offerings through sales visits, presentations, and distribution of product
• Work with Engineering, Project Manager, and Sales Support team to ensure proper quotation
• Utilize CRM to track all customer contact
• Generate monthly operating reports for Business Development
• Investigate and identify competitors
• Document findings to Management from research and involvement in industry meetings
• Recommend changes in products, services, and policies
• Act as a liaison with Project Managers and Quality to resolve complaints
• Research product technology trends
• Track competitive technology and commercial strategies
[REMOTE] Market Development Manager (Fencing or Perimeter Security) Qualifications
• 6+ years of outside sales/business development experience required
• 2+ years of fencing, perimeter security, or related industry experience required
• Experience identifying and developing new verticals from scratch required
• CRM software experience required
