Sales Representative (CPG, Ingredient, Chemical, or Adjacent Exp. Req.) Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry for consumer goods is seeking a Sales Representative to join their team in either GA, NC, TN, or OH. In this role, you will drive strategic efforts to expand their additive/ingredient business, targeting new markets and customer opportunities within CPG, flavor, fragrance, chemical, or adjacent industries. The ideal candidate will bring a hunter mentality and a track record of consultative sales success. To succeed, you must be a strategic communicator committed to ongoing customer outreach to maintain a full sales funnel and a healthy pipeline. Sales Representative (CPG, Ingredient, Chemical, or Adjacent Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
• Expand market share by maximizing opportunities with existing and new customers
• Position the company as the preferred supplier across all segments
• Weekly sales prospecting to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline
• Develop and close new business opportunities
• Partner with Marketing to create go-to-market strategies and sales tools
• Develop commercial proposals for regional and global flavor RFP’s
• Support the execution of customer-specific requirements and initiatives
• Deliver product concepts, presentations, and submission documents to customers
• Manage project pipelines and provide consistent progress updates
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize execution and service
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams at all levels
Sales Representative (CPG, Ingredient, Chemical, or Adjacent Exp. Req.) Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in B2B outside sales experience is required
• B2B consultative sales in the CPG, flavor, fragrance, chemical, or adjacent industries is required
• Strong experience hunting and prospecting for new business is required
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and strategic planning skills are required
• Ability to travel up to 60% is required
