REMOTE Sr. Bookkeeper & Administrative Specialist (QuickBooks Online Exp Req) Description

Our client in the digital marketing industry is seeking a Sr. Bookkeeper & Administrative Specialist to join their growing team. In this fully remote role, you will report directly to the CFO/Managing Partner and own day-to-day financial operations (95%) while also handling HR and insurance administrative tasks (5%). This hands-on, individual contributor role supports an established, boutique-size firm operating at a mid-market scale with strong growth. The ideal candidate will have a progressive accounting background in digital or service-based businesses (non-manufacturing/non-inventory), deep expertise in QuickBooks Online, and a solid grasp of GAAP. To succeed, you must be a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be comfortable independently managing all accounting functions in a small, dynamic team environment. REMOTE Sr. Bookkeeper & Administrative Specialist (QuickBooks Online Exp Req) Responsibilities

•    Handle all AP/AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations 
•    Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online; ensure data integrity and compliance
•    Prepare financial reports: balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
•    Execute month-end and year-end close
•    Process payroll and coordinate with third-party provider (Paychex)
•    Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets 
•    Assist with information required for audits and tax filings 
•    Track monthly and annual results vs. budget
•    Handle expense reports and reimbursements
•    Manage employee onboarding/offboarding 
•    Administer paperwork & maintain records for employee benefits and insurance policies
•    Liaise with HR consultants and insurance brokers

REMOTE Sr. Bookkeeper & Administrative Specialist (QuickBooks Online Exp Req) Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
•    5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience required 
•    Background in digital or service-based businesses (non-manufacturing/non-inventory) required
•    Expert-level QuickBooks Online proficiency is required
•    Payroll processing experience is required 
•    Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) is required
