Bookkeeper (accounting & ERP exp. req.) Description 

Our client in the business services and distribution industry is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their Team in New York City. This role is 100% onsite. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for general accounting initiatives such as general ledger, accounts receivable, invoicing, and supporting month-end closing. Most of your time will be spent on A/R including collections. Working across two entities, you’ll use QuickBooks Online and Epicor to support accounting functions. Ultimately, they’re looking for a well-rounded accounting professional who would enjoy a close-knit team atmosphere. Bookkeeper (accounting & ERP exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Generate customer sales orders and invoices
•    Record payments, credits, refunds, and adjustments 
•    Deposit cash and checks to the bank as needed
•    Coordinate with sales and customers to ensure timely collections 
•    Gather and validate customer credit data and establish credit lines
•    Prepare monthly statements and follow up on outstanding receivables
•    Identify, investigate, and resolve account discrepancies 
•    Manage reconciliations of each account 
•    Assist with vendor payments and maintain company accounts
•    Support monthly financial close process
•    Prepare GL entries and assist in creating financial statements
•    Generate reports for management as needed

Bookkeeper (accounting & ERP exp. req.) Qualifications 

•    5+ years of general bookkeeping experience required 
•    Accrual based accounting experience required 
•    Excel skills including VLOOKUP required 
•    ERP experience required
