Electrical Engineer (3+ yrs EE Exp + Interest in PLC/HMI Development Req) Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer of capital equipment for the medical industry, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Billerica, MA. This hands-on role focuses on the design, development, and continuous improvement of industrial controls that power their product line. They are seeking an electrical engineer who is eager to apply their expertise and learn new skills in PLC controls and HMI development. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a working knowledge of common industrial electronic components. Success in this role will require strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects within a collaborative, small-team environment. This is a high-impact role with exposure to both new product development and system optimization.

Electrical Engineer (3+ yrs EE Exp + Interest in PLC/HMI Development Req) Responsibilities

•    Develop and integrate new features and enhancements to existing products 
•    Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and implement bug fixes and upgrades
•    Provide internal and external technical support and troubleshooting 
•    Perform root cause analysis and testing of failed or returned components 
•    Expand skillset through internal training on PLC controls and HMI touchscreen development
•    Design, wire, assemble, and test prototypes 
•    Assist with component selection, qualification, and vendor approvals 
•    Recommend and implement product improvements and upgrades 
•    Maintain and revise technical documentation, including user manuals and system guides 
•    Create and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD 
•    Train manufacturing staff on system updates and new product features

Electrical Engineer (3+ yrs EE Exp + Interest in PLC/HMI Development Req) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required
•    3+ years of electrical engineering experience is required
•    Interest in developing skills in PLC and HMI programming is required
•    Proficiency in creating and editing electrical schematics is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site is required
