CAD Drafter (SolidWorks exp. req.) Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join their team in Langley, British Columbia. In this role, you will develop technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation for industrial chains, sprockets, conveying systems, and wear components used in sawmills, forestry, and other heavy industries. You will work closely with engineers to create precise, manufacturable designs that enhance product performance, durability, and efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact product development, quality, and efficiency in the manufacturing process.

CAD Drafter (SolidWorks exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks
•    Create and revise technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics 
•    Collaborate with engineers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
•    Maintain BOMs, engineering documentation, and CAD file organization
•    Apply GD&T principles and perform tolerance analysis
•    Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
•    Support production teams by troubleshooting design-related issues

CAD Drafter (SolidWorks exp. req.) Qualifications

•    2+ years of CAD drafting/design experience required
•    Strong proficiency in SolidWorks required
•    Industrial or manufacturing experience required 
•    Experience with the imperial measurement system required
•    Able to work onsite daily required
