Controller (Masters or CPA Req.) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Controller to join their team just southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is a highly visible and hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CFO. The Controller will oversee both strategic corporate finance functions and detailed day-to-day operations. The role includes managing a team of up to four direct reports (Accounting Manager and Staff Accountants) and four indirect clerical staff. The ideal candidate will bring accounting experience within manufacturing, including ERP systems. Controller (Masters or CPA Req.) Responsibilities

•    Support high-level complex corporate accounting/finance and day-to-day business
•    Oversee Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost & Inventory Accounting, & Revenue Recognition
•    Master the monthly and quarterly reporting process, and oversee the team’s future execution
•    Direct budget preparation and financial forecasts, report variances
•    Provide strategic financial insights for decision-making
•    Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
•    Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure compliance
•    Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting per GAAP
•    Analyze financial data and present accurate financial reports
•    Manage tax reporting and compliance within applicable tax laws
•    Evaluate the performance of accounting and financial staff

Controller (Masters or CPA Req.) Qualifications

•    CPA or a Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance is required
•    7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a Controller role, is required
•    Prior team management experience is required
•    Manufacturing industry & ERP experience is required
•    Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly with large datasets and financial reporting, is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site is required
