Salary: $80,000 - $100,000+ plus Annual Bonus + Profit Sharing + Benefits

Controls Engineer Description

Our client in the automation and manufacturing industry is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team in High Point, North Carolina. In this role, you will design and develop control systems and automated solutions for a diverse customer base. Controls Engineer Responsibilities

•    Design, develop, and implement control systems for manufacturing clients
•    Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and schematics for automation systems
•    Develop and maintain PLC and HMI programming for equipment operation
•    Test coding and ensure the accuracy of equipment wiring
•    Balance design and hands-on work across multiple projects
•    Integrate technologies such as robotics, fluid mix systems, & assembly tools into designs
•    Provide pre-sale support, including quoting and concept drawings
•    Travel to client sites for project reviews, equipment installs, and training
•    Participate in coding, wiring, assembly, and on-site installations
•    Provide post-sale support for troubleshooting custom equipment and products
•    Document project summaries, expense records, and labor hour logs
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
•    Crosstrain in other disciplines within the organization as needed
•    Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Controls Engineer Qualifications

•    3+ years of controls engineering experience is required
•    Experience with PLC and/or HMI programming is required
•    Experience designing electrical panels using CAD software is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site is required
•    Willingness to travel up to 25% (primarily within driving distance) is required
