Senior Electrical Engineer – Electrical Distribution Description
Our client, a utilities company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Electrical Engineer to join an innovative team within the power and energy sector in Jackson County, MO. In this role, you will take on responsibilities comparable to a lead project manager for capital and system improvement initiatives. You will leverage your technical expertise to guide project planning and development, ensuring the implementation of effective solutions that align with organizational goals. In addition to overseeing projects, you will also provide mentorship and support to junior engineering staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment. To be chosen for this role, you must have a strong power distribution background. Senior Electrical Engineer – Electrical Distribution Responsibilities
• Act as a project leader in the design and engineering of complex projects
• Provide functional supervision of technical staff and mentor junior engineers
• Monitor progress of assigned projects to ensure timely completion
• Perform extensive research and field investigations
• Evaluate and recommend project alternatives and review system protection
• Develop project drawings, evaluate projects costs, and customer requirements
• Participate in the evaluation of engineering activities
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• Serve as a subject matter expert and offer recommendations
Senior Electrical Engineer – Electrical Distribution Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
• Certificate in Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is required
• Strong background in electrical distribution systems engineering required
• Distribution design experience required
