Our client, a food ingredient manufacturer, is seeking a Senior R&D Food Technologist to join their team in Bucks County, PA. You will lead custom seasoning product development and contribute to quality control within a lab-based environment. This hands-on role involves working with a wide array of ingredients and developing seasoning solutions for meat, poultry, sauces, and snacks while collaborating with sales to meet customer requests and supervising one technician. The ideal candidate has a strong R&D background with a variety of food ingredients and flavor profiles in product development, from concept through manufacturing, and a working knowledge of food safety regulations. Senior R&D Food Technologist – Food Ingredients (7+ yrs exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Lead development of seasoning blends and shelf-stable formulations
• Revise and enhance existing product formulations
• Perform sensory analysis and ingredient testing
• Conduct visual and taste-based quality control checks
• Supervise technician for lab sampling and QC batch reviews
• Generate nutritional information and product labels
• Enter formulations and data in ERP
• Collaborate with sales to define and meet customer specifications
• Troubleshoot product performance issues in manufacturing
• Ensure compliance with food safety and labeling regulations
Senior R&D Food Technologist – Food Ingredients (7+ yrs exp. req.) Qualifications
• Bachelors of degree required
• 7+ years of product development with food ingredients experience required
• Knowledge of food safety laws and regulations required
• Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel, required
